Shayla Knipe
For over 20 years I have been obsessed with the art of canine styling. Recognised today as one of Australia's most awarded stylists, my journey began with a deep passion of the animal industry graduating high school as a veterinary nurse eager to learn as much as I could.
That curiosity and passion took me through many paths within our industry from Nutrition, canine handling, psychology to National Grooming competitions and to the Global stage where I represented Australia in Belgium at the World Grooming Championships as the Terrier Specialist with the Australian Team. This was a defining moment - proving that artistry knows no borders.
As a Finalist on Channel 7's Pooch Perfect Tv show with Rebel Wilson, I showcased the intensity and skill required to compete at the highest standards under pressure. Yet as a mother of four and a founder of many businesses, I have learned that true success isn't about winning trophies- it's about connection and community.
In 2026 I have stepped away from the traditional high volume salon model to return to my roots. My Private Studio is a space for quiet, focused artistry, where I can give every client the time and respect they deserve, record educational content to teach the mastery of pet styling and continue to create the community and connections around us while raising the next generation of leaders.
