Studio Protocols

To maintain the calm, private nature of our one-on-one studio, we ask all clients to observe the following etiquette. These protocols protect the safety and relaxation of every dog in our care.

Arrivals & Departures

Please arrive exactly at your scheduled time. We operate a strict one-in, one out system. Arriving early may interrupt the finishing touches of the previous client's appointment, while arriving late impacts the time we can dedicate to your dog's styling.

Late Arrival: Arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be considered a 'No Show' and the appointment will be cancelled with full fee payable, as we cannot rush the grooming process safely.

Pick up: You will receive a text message 20 minutes prior to completion. Please collect your pet promptly to ensure the studio remains quiet for the next guest. Late collection fees apply for pets waiting longer than 1 hour and charged at $25 per 15minutes.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for your dog. We do not double-book. As such, late cancellations leave a gap in our diary

  • 48 Hours' Notice: No fee. We will happily reschedule you.

  • 24 Hours' Notice: 50% of the service is payable

  • Same Day / No Show: 100% of the service fee is payable before future bookings can be made

Health & Parasites

For the safety of our studio, all dogs must be up to date with their Vaccinations and on a regular Flea/ Tick and worming schedule.

Fleas: If live fleas are found on your pet, a mandatory decontamination fee of $50 will be applied to cover the cost of studio sanitization and immediate treatment.

Behavioral Safety

We are an open-plan studio environment. For this reason, we cannot accept pets with a history of aggression towards humans or other dog's. This strict policy exists for two critical reasons:

  • Career safety: Our hands are our livelihood, A single bite or injury puts our career at risk and jeopardises the appointments of every other client booked in after you. We cannot risk cancellations due to avoidable injury

  • Holistic energy: We believe humans and animals are deeply connected via energy. A stressed or aggressive dog disrupts the calm atmosphere instantly. One dogs negative energy can unsettle the entire studio, affecting both stylist and other dogs and guests.

If your dog displays aggressive behavior that prevents us from safely completing the groom, the session will be halted immediately, and the full fee will remain payable for the time reserved.

Matted Coat Policy

Humanity over Vanity. Our priority is your dog's comfort. We are happy to undertake de-matting work to save a coat, but strictly under specific conditions

  • Tolerance: The dog must remain calm and accepting of the process. If they show any signs of stress or pain, we will stop immediately.

  • Time & Cost: De-matting is intricate work that must be pre-allocated in our diary. It attracts an additional fee based on the time required.

If the matting is too severe or the dog becomes distressed, you will be phoned to discuss further options. This may result in a 'Reset Cut" (short shave) to remove the matting safely and allow the skin to breathe.

Please Note: Due to the wear on equipment and extreme caution required, a Reset Cut incurs an additional fee of $80-$100 (depending on severity) on top of the standard grooming prices.
