Salon Policies 

 

 

  • New Clients are required to pay in full for their first appointment, all new clients will require an assessment to ensure your dog suits our salon culture 
  • Cancelations, we require 48 hours' notice for any cancelation, not giving significant notice will incur a cancelation fee. 
  • No Shows, if you do not show for your appointment, we will apply a no-show fee of $40 to your account this will need to be paid prior to booking your next appointment. 
  • Recurring bookings, if you regularly cancel, reschedule or not show for your appointments you're recurring schedule will be cancelled, and you will require to book as a casual, with no guarantee of an appointment.
  • Late Fees, if you are more then 15 mins late to your appointment, we have the right to refuse your service, or if we accept your appointment we will groom in a time suitable so that it does not cause inconvenience our other clients. 
  • Treats, We do not feed treats while in our establishment as we are aware that every dog has specific dietary requirements. we will always ask owners before we offer any treats to your dog. 
  • Matting or knots, At Stylish Canine we specialize in longer style cuts, but we can only work on the canvas that is given to us, so your homework is important to ensure the dog comes to us knot free. If your dog is presented to us with knots or matting, we will give you 
  • Three options-
    • Option 1. We can de-mat if the dog lets us at an additional price of $120 per hour, taking into consideration these factors (age, temperament and severity of the knots)
    • Option 2. We shave the knots out with a suitable blade length to reduce risk to your dog,  if your dog presents to us in a severe matted condition where we have to shave on a surgical length this will incur a heavy matting charge and you will be required to fill out a form understanding the risks involved due to the condition presented & neglect to your dog.
    • Option 3.  we will leave the knots in the coat for you to work on at home in your own time, and your dog will require another grooming appointment in the close future We will call to discuss the options above, However in the case that we cannot get in contact with you we will leave the knots in and just proceed with a Hygiene groom  and you will require to book another appointment to finish the grooming service. 
  • Late pick up, all dogs must be collected prior to 4:30pm. Door lock at 5pm any dogs still in our care will be charged at $5 per minute as an afterhours fee 
  • Pick up & Drop off service, 1weeks notice must be given for pick up and drop off as we have allocated days for different areas across the coast cost is $15 each way 
  • Fleas, if any fleas are sighted on your dog, you will be called immediately, your dog will be isolated, Capstar treatment administered and washed in a parasite treatment to remove all parasites.  for this a charge of $35 each dog to cover the treatment, and cleaning of the salon.
  • Illness, if your dog is showing signs of illness please call and reschedule allowing enough time to fill your appointment. 
  • Comfort clips, aged dogs or dogs with chronic health conditions we will not perform grooms that put added pressure on to their body, for example (style cuts or de-matting) we will do what is most comfortable for them. as your dog's age we will advise if we notice any change in their sessions. 
  • Puppy grooms, we recommend your puppy having their first groom around 12weeks of age (After their 2nd Vaccination) their first groom will only be a basic Hygiene trim to help desensitize, and educate your puppy on a positive experience, we do not expect a puppy's to sit still on the table with this we do not expect a perfect groom at this young age perfection comes with regular grooming and education. 
  • Aggressive or biting dogs, We WILL NOT tolerate aggressiveness or dogs who Bite!  OfCourse every dog's situation will be accessed by a professional behavioralist for dogs who intent to cause harm will not be welcome within our salon, if your dog has a special situation that we can work around we will at an extra charge that doesn't cause risk to our staff or our clients. this must be advised upon booking so that we can accommodate your dog's requirements.  
  • High Anxiety, if your dog shows signs of high anxiety and barks or screams in our care, we have the right to refuse service as we pride ourselves for having an enjoyable stress-free culture at Stylish canine, all dogs are connected by energy and one dog with high anxiety creates anxiety in other dogs. How would you enjoy your beauty experience if the person beside you was screaming?
  • Customer behavior, Anyone with Abusive, aggressive or threatening behavior towards any of our customers of staff for any reason, will result in having all your appointments cancelled, and being banned from our establishment. 
  •  Crates - for the safety of all dogs, your dog will be placed into a suitable crate while waiting to be collected, he or she will be placed into a crate in our specific rest room away from distractions this room is completely Airconditioned with Dimmed lighting, cleaned regularly and each crate has a comfy blanket to lay on. We do this for your pet's safety as dogs loose can cause hazards to our staff and your pet with sharp blades and scissors that can fall off the tables, distraction to those dogs being groomed with sharp tools, tripping hazards as well as dog fights and hygiene reasons. If you do not wish your Dog to be crated, we recommend booking with a mobile groomer as we are not the salon for you!
  1. Entire Dogs (NON desexed dogs) We do except dogs who are not desexed, HOWEVER, we do not except while your female is in season you must wait 20 days min after bleeding starts, and any Entire male must wear a Belly Band (Nappy) to prevent marking our salon for hygiene reasons
